AvrUsb500 as mini SMD version. Small, robust and ready to use. It works under Linux, Windows, Mac, ... probably any OS. It can flash any Atmel avr microcontroller with In-System Programming capabilities. This programmer is very similar to the above but with a USB-A connector to be pluged directly into a laptop.
